We collect skateboard decks from other skaters every chance we get. We raise funds to equip those boards with brand new trucks, wheels and bearings. Each board costs us about $50. Last year in North Carolina alone we distributed just shy of 300 boards!
What we do
Spreading stoke ~ One skateboard at a time.
But what does that mean? It gives children the freedom to express themselves in developing skills and style. It is hard work so it gives them exercise. Skateboarding is very social so it improves their communication skills. It is extremely challenging to learn and so teaches the life lesson to get back up and try again. If we can help one child improve themselves or even just have fun, we all win. Accessibility for all who want to skate is a constant underlying backbeat to our Mission Statement.
And we like the sound of kids winning. We are 501(c)(3).
